Grocery Shopping — The Best Way for Adults to Relax

I don’t remember exactly when it started, but visiting the supermarket became my favorite way to relax alone.
Whenever I feel sad, confused, or overwhelmed by pressure, I like to walk into a supermarket by myself and let the simple warmth of everyday life heal my tired heart.
Unlike online shopping with just one click, visiting a physical supermarket has its own special sense of comfort and ritual.
Pushing a shopping cart slowly through the aisles, looking at colorful packages, fresh fruits, and vegetables, listening to gentle background music mixed with soft conversations around me — it feels lively but never overwhelming.
I carefully choose fresh vegetables with tiny drops of morning dew, weigh round and juicy apples in my hands, and pick snacks that my family loves. Slowly filling my empty shopping cart becomes a peaceful little ceremony.
During this process, the frustration from work, worries about life, and endless stress gradually disappear among these simple choices.
Watching my shopping cart change from empty to full gives me a deep sense of satisfaction. The adult world is often filled with things beyond our control, but in the supermarket, I can make my own decisions.
What I want to eat, what I want to buy, and what I want to bring home — everything is decided by me.
Walking out of the supermarket with bags full of groceries and snacks, feeling the evening breeze on my face, I suddenly realize:
Life is actually very simple.
Three meals a day, the changing seasons, ordinary moments, and taking good care of ourselves — this is already the best kind of happiness.
